INTERN VACANCY

Formed in September 1977, ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) is a regional parliamentary organization which consists of 10 parliaments of ASEAN Member States. AIPA plays important role in familiarizing the ASEAN people with policies aimed at accelerating the realization of ASEAN Community. AIPA Secretariat serves as the center of communication and information among the members. It aims to encourage understanding, cooperation, and close relations among AIPA Member Parliaments as well as Observer Members and other organizations.

The intern is expected to perform the following assignments:

INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION, AND TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

  1. Assist the ICT in designing AIPA’s social media activities;
  2. Provide the assistance in the creation and publishing of relevant contents for the social media materials;
  3. Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, and channels;
  4. Involve in the development of brand awareness and online reputation of AIPA;
  5. Attend functions and networking events, if required;
  6. Work with the team in the administrative tasks

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or have graduated within the past one year;
  • Exhibit the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical skills of content creation;
  • Great interpersonal and commmunication skills;
  • Maintain excellent writing and language skills (English);
  • Perform the ability to utilize design tools or video editing sofware (noncompulsory);
  • Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university record;
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in AIPA Secretariat;
  • Upon the completion of your internship program, you are entitled of US $100

 

  1. POLICY, EDUCATION AND PUBLICITY (PEP)
  2. Perform clerical duties including: take detailed notes during meetings or type/transcribe and edit memos and notes provided from meetings, prepare paper copies, faxes, and other documentation, as needed;
  3. Assist Directorate of PEP in preparing information and research materials;
  4. Provide assistance to the publicity and communication officers in preparing social media and website content;
  5. Assist the Directorate of PEP in preparing reports, if needed;
  6. Provide assistance to the Directorate of PEP in preparing workshops, meetings, etc;
  7. Attend functions and networking events, if required;
  8. Run general related errands;
  9. Shadow multiple office positions and train in variety of tasks.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or have graduated within the past one year;
  • Applicants must be at least 19 years old;
  • Be proficient in spoken and written in English;
  • Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university record;
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in AIPA Secretariat;
  • Upon the completion of your internship program, you are entitled of US $100
